My analytics are a wall of numbers and I do not know which ones to actually care about. What matters?

Most creators stare at the wrong number. Likes are vanity, the metrics that drive growth are retention or average watch time, how much reach came from non-followers and saves and shares since those signal real value. Watch where viewers drop off, that tells you whether your hook or your pacing is the problem. Compare your hits and your flops to find the pattern, then make more of what worked. Check analytics weekly, not obsessively, and let it steer your next posts.

Likes are vanity

They feel good and tell you little. Look past them to what drives reach.

Watch retention

Where people drop off shows whether your hook or pacing needs the fix.

Saves and shares win

These signal real value and the algorithm rewards them more than a like.

Find the pattern

Compare winners and flops, then make more of whatever actually worked.

The drop-off graph changed how I film. Saw everyone leaving at second three, rewrote my hooks, watch time jumped.

Reach from non-followers is the growth number. High follower reach just means you are talking to people you already have.

Checking daily made me crazy and changed nothing. Weekly review, look for patterns, adjust. That is the whole job.
