I send my media kit out and hear nothing back. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?

A silent media kit usually has one of three problems. The numbers are weak or missing, so add your real engagement rate and lead with it. There are no results, so pair each sample with one outcome like saves or sales. Or the pitch around it is vague, so name the brand, say why you fit and make one clear ask. Nine times out of ten it is the pitch, not the kit, that is killing your reply rate.

Why kits get ignored

Brands skim for fit and proof. If those are missing, you get silence.

Fix the numbers

No engagement rate means instant delete. Put your real ER at the top.

Add real results

Followers are a claim. A result like drove 300 clicks is evidence.

Fix the pitch around it

A great kit attached to a generic email still loses. Make the email specific.

I doubled my reply rate by cutting my kit from three pages to one. Brands were not reading past page one anyway.

Check who you are sending to. A perfect kit to the wrong inbox is dead. Find the actual partnerships contact.

Add one line of social proof, even past brands you gifted for. Cold kits with zero history get skipped.
