The bigger I get the nastier the comments get and it is wearing me down. How do other creators handle the hate?

More reach means more negativity, it is not a sign you did anything wrong. Do not feed trolls, a reply is the engagement they want, so mute or block freely and move on, your comment section is yours to keep healthy. Tell real criticism apart from noise: a fair point can sharpen your work, pure cruelty just gets deleted. Turn off comments on a post if you need to. And step back from the screen when it gets heavy. Protecting your headspace is part of the job, not a weakness.

Negativity scales with reach

More eyes means more hate. It is math, not a verdict on your work.

Do not feed it

A reply is the reward trolls want. Mute, block, move on.

Keep what is useful

Real criticism can improve you. Cruelty just gets deleted. Learn the difference.

Protect your headspace

Step away when it is heavy. Your wellbeing comes before any comment section.

Block and move on, no guilt. It is your space. I stopped reading every comment once I hit a certain size and my head got much quieter.

I separate the useful one percent from the noise. A real critique can make me better. A stranger being cruel just gets deleted.

Turn comments off when you post something vulnerable. You do not owe anyone an open comment section on your hardest content.
