Going viral on TikTok comes down to retention. The first two seconds decide everything, so open with a hook, not a hello. Pick one niche so the algorithm knows who to show you to, post consistently and make videos people watch to the end and share. Trends help but a strong hook and a clear niche matter more.

What actually drives reach

Reach follows retention, not luck. Earn the watch and the algorithm rewards you.

Hook in two seconds

Open on the payoff or the question. No slow intros.

One niche, posted often

A clear lane tells TikTok who to test you on.

Optimize for watch time

Short, tight edits that people finish beat long rambling ones.

I film three hooks for every video and post the one that makes me stop scrolling. The hook is 90 percent of it.

Posting twice a day for a month is what broke my account out. Volume gives the algorithm more shots.

I reply to comments with a video. Those replies often outperform the original and feed the main post.
